The trade-off is noise and density: this is Lisbon's most visited district, with steep cobbled streets and constant foot traffic. Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon's broad nineteenth-century boulevard, is where most of the city's five-star hotels are concentrated, offering larger rooms, spas and a calmer, more residential feel than the old town.
