Portugal sits 6 hours ahead of Chicago's local time, so the outbound flight typically arrives in the morning local time even after a full night in the air, which is precisely why we schedule nothing demanding on arrival day.

Carriers most commonly used on this route include TAP Air Portugal or United; specific schedules and any seasonal non-stop service change from year to year, and our concierge team checks current options when confirming dates rather than assuming a fixed routing. Connecting itineraries, where required, are chosen for reasonable layover length rather than lowest fare.

On arrival, a private driver-guide meets travellers from Chicago directly at the gate area or arrivals hall in Lisbon, with an executive Mercedes waiting for the short transfer into the city.
