Belmonte's historic Jewish quarter is built on a hillside with narrow, uneven granite lanes; a full walking visit is not step-free, though key points can often be reached with shorter, carefully chosen routes discussed with your driver-guide in advance. Trancoso's walled old town similarly involves cobbled, sometimes sloped streets.

Where full physical access to a specific site is not realistic, we say so plainly and propose alternatives — a nearby viewpoint, a shortened route, or additional time elsewhere in the itinerary — so the day remains satisfying rather than an unacknowledged compromise.
